Very rare Ford RS200 street version,
one of the 200 units produced to comply with FIA
homologation regulations in group B. The craziest era of
the rally history has seen many monsters compete in the
famous group B. And Ford had to produce a car able to
compete with the best cars of that time, the 205 T16,
Audi Quattro or Lancia Delta S4. The RS200 was born
in 1984. The 200 units of street versions were produced
until 1986. These cars shared the same technical base as
the race cars. As all the group B cars of that time, the
recipe was the same : turbocharged engine and 4 wheel
drive. The small 1800 cc mid-mounted engine, was
turbocharged by a Garett T03/04, and together with an
electronic injection, it was giving 250 BHP for the road
version. Some were fitted with the 300 BHP factory kit
like the one we offer. The body was designed by Ghia,
with an elegant result, and was built in
fiberglass.
The car we offer has been delivered
new end of 1986 to a japanese collector, with the 300
BHP factory kit. The car has never been raced, and
remains in its original specification. The owner has
only driven it on the road, and during some shows. It
has only 13.000 Km on the clock, and has always been
perfectly maintained.
This RS200 is available in
Japan. Price includes all shipping fees, customs and
european or swiss VAT. |
